Cyprus - experience in the transformation of conflicts

Nicosia is the only capital in the world divided as a result of the conflict - the capital of the Republic of Cyprus, a member of the European Union and partly recognized by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. That is why the joint meetings took place here. At the meetings, studies were done and published to transform the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict.

Representatives of the Fund "Sukhumi" met with representatives of NGOs working in Nicosia and Limassol. Particularly interesting was the visit to the "House for Cooperation", which is located in the buffer zone, the so-called. Green line. This is a free space where Greek and Turkish Cypriots meet each other, cooperate in different projects, work together, carry out different activities, drink coffee together ...

Several days in Nicosia were the days when participants in the meetings shared the Cypriot and Georgian-Abkhazian experience, which was very necessary and useful for partner organizations.
