The TV story is devoted to Ozurgeti GAC. Member of Sakrebulo and GAC talked about how they work on package of suggestions for self-government, what issues are discussed for lobbying: “there is intensive discussion on the meetings of GAC, regarding the forms of submitting package of suggestions and priorities regarding gender policy”.
What is the experience of submitting suggestions from the GAC in the budget, what issues were supported in previous budget, according to the project assistant, “practice of submitting gender policy plan is justified. It is better seen, what resources are on the local level, what tasks should be solved for introduction of gender policy on the places and who are responsible for it.

There were several issues touched in the program – common strategy of the GAC, main directions of the work regarding establishment of gender policy in gender budgeting on the local level. Assistants of the project summarized results of project year, spoke about results and challenges.
It was mentioned that self-government of Kutaisi, Senaki and Ozurgeti are more and more understanding towards the GAC, support their initiatives.
Chairperson of OzurgetiGAC, member of Sakrebulo – Lela Natsvaladze mentioned support of self-government not only on policy level, but in practice too, as a result Ozurgeti budget was announced as the most gender budget from the side of Parliament gender council. Local self-government considers it as a result of collaboration with the GAC.
Participants mentioned that creation of the GAC network is improved gender prospects and exchange of experience. Particular attention was paid to cooperation with parliament . It was mentioned that in nearest future the meeting will be held and now the issues joint activities are defined between the GAC network and Gender Council of the Parliament.

Training on “Analysis of Georgian – Abkhazian conflict, gender aspects of post-conflict regulation (including creative methods)”.
The story, prepared by the journalists of TV “Rioni”, tells the audience about this interesting and strange training, about participants and once again underlines peacekeeping vision of Georgian society.
The training was held in frames of joint Georgian – Abkhazian project “Strengthening of women’s voices on the level of decision making” (donor: federal department of foreign affairs of Switzerland).

On August 25, in the gender media center of Ozurgeti (in the office of “Guria News”) representative of the Fund “Sukhumi” met the representatives of local media, the meeting was attended by deputy of chairperson of the GAC, member of Sakrebulo – Lali Sichinava. The topic of conversation was gender budget.
It was mentioned that journalists should pay more attention to the process of planning local budget, make gender stresses.
In order to give the society correct information regarding gender issues, gender education of the journalists is important. The meeting announced initiative – to conduct training on these issues. It was decided – in the beginning of September fund “Sukhumi” and Ozurgeti Gender Media Center will organize training with participation of representatives of Ozurgeti, Kutaisi and Senaki media.

Representatives of Kutaisi GAC, Club of Voter Women, Self-government and the fund “Sukhumi” spoke about meaning of local gender policy and cooperation of the GAC with self-government and society in the program of Radio “Rioni”.
What is gender budget and how its importance is realized on the local level, what issues were revealed as a result of the research of gender needs and how the GAC is going to advocate their reflection in the future budget. It was underlined creation and meaning of the GAC network. It was mentioned that the GAC, founded by the fund ”Sukhumi”, showed in practice, how important is to support legislative initiatives by the Parliament. 
Representatives of Kutaisi Sakrebulo positively evaluated cooperation with the GAC: “We are ready to support any kind of interesting initiatives of the GAC, as the GAC sees the problems of citizens and suggests the ways of solution.”

Results of the work of Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council (GAC) and two projects, which were implemented by co-financing of the Fund “Sukhumi” and local government – mainly in this direction a meeting with journalists was held in the Fund “Sukhumi”.
The meeting was attended by the GAC members and participants of the project “Camp of Teenagers – Gender Education for the Young Athletes”.
Journalists got interesting by the work done, future plans and received answers.
The GAC has good informational support from the side of all media sources of Kutaisi, what makes its work more resonant.

TV Company “Rioni” aired a story, which tells about week camp in Kobuleti with co-financing of the Fund “Sukhumi” and Kutaisi City Hall in frames of the project “Camp of Teenagers - Gender Education for the Young Athlets”.
In organization of the camp there were actively involved members of Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council, who also conducted work-shops on gender issues.
The story gives high evaluation to the project  by the chairpersons of Kutaisi self-government, who travelled to camp and met the young people. The Mayor of the city and chairperson of Sakrebulo are grateful to GAC for assistance in formation of healthy values among the youth as they voluntarily contributed to the successful implementation of the project.
The project was mentioned also by members of GAC. According to them this is a good precedent, when state and NGO sector join their resources for physical and spiritual development of the youth.

Radio story tells about results of the work of Ozurgeti GAC, regarding the problems, which were revealed and how the GAC is going to answer the challenges, what projects are carried out and what are the concrete results of this work.
According to the members of GAC, it is necessary to conduct more informational activities.
The story tells that GAC project “Cancer is not a verdict” – aims at psycho rehabilitation of the people with this problem, but at the same time there is held advocacy of other issues. There is no oncologist in Ozurgeti, no local statistics of disease, there is no culture of prevention.
Members of the GAC mention that always feel support of local government, which expresses support in implementation of interesting ideas of the GAC even having poor budget.

Results of WSC work of Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Khoni, Senaki, Poti and Khurcha/Koki (Zugdidi Municipality) is reflected by informational bulletin, prepared in frames of the project “Strengthening of Women’s Rights in Western Georgia”.

In reporting period July 1 - 31, 87 activities were held with participation of 991 people, also mobilization meetings, workshops, consultations of psychologist and lawyer, youth clubs, focus-groups and in-depth interviews, monitoring groups, informational meetings, performances of the forum-theatre.
