Journal – at the end of project

The project, in frames of which Gender Advicory Council was founded in Batumi was finished. The GAC is local institutional mechanism for support of gender perspectives.
At the end of project, the journal was issued which summarized project results and familiarized the readers with project duration, implemented ativities, achievements and changes in lives of GAC members and in society.

Meetings with journalists in Senaki

 
Representatives of the fund “Sukhumi” held traditional meetings with journalists in Senaki.
One of the meetings was held in the publishing-house of the local newspaper. The newspaper “Kolkheti” is an independent one in Senaki municipality. It often publicizes information regarding activities of the fund “Sukhumi” in Senaki. The conversation touched strengthening of collaboration between the fund and the staff of publishing-house in direction of publicizing gender issues.

Journal about Gender Advisory Council

The journal “Gender Advisory Councils – Raising of Women’s Role for Social Changes in the Region”.
This is a journal – report, which summarized the work of Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Senaki GACs, made visible changes and achievements, meaning and necessity of funded projects.
The most important are the materials about collaboration with local self-government and media, active work for establishing gender components on the local level.

Batumi GAC – two years of the project and perspectives for future – TV Show in the air of “TV - 25”

The program showd, what role the GAC played, as a mediator between civil society and self-government. How could it manage to say own word as a "conductor" of gender ideas, and what has changed in the existing approaches, policy and practice. What is the prognosis for the future - how viable would be and how started activities will be continued...
Guests of the program - members of the GAC - talked about the achievements and future prospects. They identified concrete achievements, including – support of the projects initiated by the GAC from the side of City Hall, suggested specific recommendations. The conversation touched major challenges.
As it was announced during the show, despite completion of the project, GAC continued to work actively to support local gender perspectives.
